About FOCA

Our Mission Statement

As members of FOCA, our purpose is to . . .

  • be helpful, responsible neighbors.
  • create social activities for FOCA members and other neighbors.
  • plan, implement, and support aviation related activities, services and projects for the  community using the facilities in our neighborhood.
  • provide hands-on and financial support to established charities: Snowline Hospice, Project Linus, and the El Dorado County Food Bank.
  • be proactive in promoting our good standing in the community.

Formed in 1980, the 501c4 non-profit, was created by residents to encourage interaction, enjoy social get-togethers and raise money for Airpark and Airport improvements.

Fund raisers have been held over the years and enough money has been raised to make a substantial contribution to the construction of an AWOS station at the airport. In addition, significant contribution have been made to Snowline Hospice and the Food Bank, as well as many blanket made and donated to Project Linus.

The Board of Directors meet several times during the year to plan and execute community service and social activities.
